How to Upgrade Items in Pokemon GO
The Upgrade is among the most important features in Pokemon GO. It allows trainers to evolve Porygon into Porygon2 and it also gives them the chance to advance in their Pokedex.
It is a rare item, but can be found by spinning a Photo Disk at a Pokestop, or as a prize for special occasions. But what exactly does this item actually do?
Components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons or gathering tools in order to confer an additional benefit. They are a vital element in crafting and can be gathered through salvaging or purchased from vendors. They can also be found as drops in the game dropped by enemies or gathered from spheres of items. They can be used to upgrade any weapon or armor that has an upgrade slot.
Utilizing upgrade components to maximize the amount of experience gained when upgrading gear and weapons is key to achieving the highest level of progression in the game. The experience multiplier of an upgraded item is increased by adding organic components, whereas mechanical components reduce it. The best combination is a high experience-multiplier organic component followed by a low-experience-multiplier mechanical component. This will maximize your experience gain and allow you to progress to the next level of weapon or equipment more accessible.
The upgrade system is complex and it's essential to understand how it operates to maximize the benefits of your upgrades. The system keeps an ongoing total of experience for the item you're upgrading. Each component has an experience multiplier that could be positive or negative. When the total reaches a certain threshold, it is reset to zero.
The amount of the experience gained by each upgrade component can also be influenced by the item's hidden rank and its multiplier of experience. This means that higher-ranked items are more difficult to upgrade, while lower-ranked items are simpler to reach.
If a new version of the hardware is installed, it's important to remove all existing connections and fasteners that held the old component in place. Keep them in a parts tray to facilitate identification and storage. Connect all wires and cables, and connect the power supply. Test the computer by turning it on. If everything is connected correctly, the computer should boot normally. This is an important step to ensure that the new hardware is compatible with your existing systems and will function seamlessly.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be a great tool to improve your gear but you must understand how to use them. Each glyph can be used to improve the substatus, and the higher the rank of a Glyph, the more powerful it becomes. You can only upgrade a glyph once, so make sure you choose wisely. Glyphs can also be used only once and disappear after you have used them on an item or artifact.
The most effective symbols are those that increase the chance to roll an affix that is of the desired type or tier. These are often found on the most expensive weapons, armor and accessories. They can also be found on the Paragon Board and are usually worth the effort, however they can be difficult to find.
You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Chests or purchase them from the Trading Post. Certain glyphs are available for use only once, while others are permanent. These are ideal for items that need to be rerolled often. The Glyph of Hope allows you to increase your chances of obtaining a specific affix by making an item appear magical.
Some glyphs can be used to alter existing affixes. This is typically seen on boots, gloves and belts, all is capable of holding four different affixes. The Glyph of Insight for example transforms a prefix into an experimental affix. This is a great tool if you are looking for an affix that is of high-quality in the specified slot or want to maximize damage output.
When you reach the level 50, the structure of the game dramatically changes. You'll not be able to rely on the campaign. Instead, you will be required to navigate the Paragon Board, Nightmare Dungeons and new grinds in order to optimize your build.
The most effective glyphs will be ones that are compatible with your character's specialization, for example the Exploit Glyph that increases damage against vulnerable enemies. Control Glyph is another good glyph that can increase damage against enemies who are frozen, stunned or slow. Each glyph has a radius and the radius increases as you upgrade the glyph. This makes glyphs the most effective method to upgrade your gear in the late game.
Reroll tokens
A reroll token is an upgrade item that lets players change one of the attributes on an item. It is possible to do this within the item's window by selecting an item and clicking an orange button with circular arrows. The cost of the reroll is determined by the rarity of the item.
Reroll tokens are found in the Mystery Box or as rare drops from skulled monsters. They can be purchased from the Trader. You can also get them through Event Items or by obtaining them from other players. They can be used to reroll weapons, rings, and armors in increments of two. Each token that is rerolling gives players the opportunity to roll an attribute that could be more or less than their previous roll.
In addition being able to reroll upgrades, the reroll token can also be used to recycle items. Recycling an item can earn players a certain amount points that will add to the gauge of level for the item, depending on its rarity. This is a good way to dispose of old, useless equipment that isn't upgraded.
The rerolling token could be used to offer an entirely new weapon feature. These are shown to the player, who is able to decide whether to accept them or not. The player is able to offer up to six items at one time and the choices increase when the item's rarity and level increases. This option is accessible by clicking the Upgrade tab on the forge.
Reroll tokens can also be used to reroll the set bonus of an item, which is applied if three or more items in the same set are fitted to the unit. The set bonus is only applicable to units that belong to the same class and cannot be applied to units that belong to different classes.
Other upgrade items, such as recipes, can also be rerolled. These items aren't available in the shops or through rerolls, but instead are transferred to the Non Droppable Pool whenever players select a Food Card requiring new Ingredients or equipment. The reroll token can be used to reroll these extra bonuses, however the base stats (including all upgrades), and level will remain the same.
Leveling
In the game, players can improve their equipment with an item upgrade item. These items can be crafted by obtaining the required ingredients from the item upgrader NPCs found in major cities. Once an item has been upgraded, its base stats will be enhanced. Certain affixes can be modified. This could result in a significant boost to the value of an item's ilvl.
When an item is upgraded, it will show an icon of blue in its upper-left corner. The item will also display the number of upgrades that are below its maximum level. The maximum level of the item will increase if there's more upgrades. The player can upgrade an item as many times as they like. This will allow the player to reach breakpoints for gears that increase the reroll chances of certain affixes.
The item upgrading feature lets players upgrade the quality and level of helmets, weapons, and armor. This process requires items, which are redeemed at the item upgrader NPC in exchange for currency. The upgrader will show a preview of an item's new status and accept either Happy Tickets or Happy Stars to complete the upgrade. The item used to make materials will be gone. However, the upgraded item will retain Item EXP to upgrade it further.

Although there isn't a certain way to obtain an upgrade however, it has a very low chance of being lost when spinning Pokestops and Gyms. Players can also use an Upgrade on the Porygon to evolve it into the form of a Porygon2, which will consume the item.
The Upgrade is a new feature that was introduced in Generation II. Silph Co. produces a transparent device that can hold all kinds of information. It is a tool to evolve certain Pokemon species and can be activated by trading a Link Cable. It is a rare item, with a 1 percent chance of dropping each spin from Pokestops and Gyms. It is also available by taking part in the Upgrade Station Event.
