World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
Upgrades to items allow players to increase the gear score of an item up to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you decide to take them to the kiln.
item upgrader are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For instance the perfect broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth it.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can boost their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition, many weapons have an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon is present on a unit. This bonus may be greater than the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can cause.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For item upgrading , a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a gun will increase until it requires more Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgrades to weapons can also reroll the stats of the base. While this is generally a good thing however, it could have negative effects as well. For items that only see use in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance) upgrading them could make them unusable unless you have an extremely fortunate roll.
Armor items can also be upgraded to improve their performance. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms it will boost its defense base while gloves and belts enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it can sometimes change its roll to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading in addition to their relative values. This means that a change from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 33% attack damage. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will strike for 3 fewer times as it is an absolute statistic.
A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circular arrows within the menu for items. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats but it will not reset the weapon's levels, or bind it to account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make all the difference to your survivability. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE increases in poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which makes the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the greater defense your character has the more value you get out of each point of health you have and it's crucial to upgrade your armor as much as you can.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and in order to unlock each fountain, you have to complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main side quest and have completed the fountain in question, you can then speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees needed for each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. For example the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep pace with a good-sized group of adversaries in most cold climates and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, granting the protection needed to survive the full-on assault with a handful of friends.
It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll have to focus on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll wear at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you use to fight the final boss, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
You can also unlock some advantages to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have some improvements to the helmets and chest armor that allow you to stealth around certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed provide the user with an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.
Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount of XP. This can be obtained by making them on a table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades will vary based on the type of potion you want to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and rarity.
To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you choose the potion that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they will give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it won't degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to rename it.
There were some changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. For example splash potions now have a duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds displayed on the item hover display). The potion table can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. In contrast to the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be combined in cauldrons. Also, putting a potion on a full cauldron, it drains the potion and refills the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed using dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can be added to potions that are lingering to increase their effects. The table of potion ingredients is now organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including potion of leaping, decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but isn't particularly significant like a thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets unlike other items which can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing statistics.
Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available with tokens, gold, or fragments from rare trinkets.
Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to buying a brand new trinket. It is possible to upgrade players for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl as the previous one, and will have an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Trinkets can be upgraded when the old ones are not needed and allows players to boost their power and value over time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are first upgraded, followed by their secondary gear, and then other equipment that they won't replace in the near future (such as an earring or a cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when choosing which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player, then they should upgrade their helm, chest and shoulders.
Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they no longer have value and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it can be salvaged with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still cheaper than buying a new one.
